Hey -

Was just looking at Applied Art’s Announcement of their Annual Brochure Design Winner:  Lida Baday’s 2009 Spring Collection Catalogue.  I can’t find it online, just the review of it here:

The desaturated photo treatment is really similar to what Jesse’s doing with the studio shots from Sand County.  But I also really like their unorthodox approach to photo cropping and layout.  We’re so used to seeing Look Books with the same vertical approach, same crop, etc.

We’re already going to have so much going on with our Look Book, especially around creating the comic book approach, using Fionn’s drawings. (Very excited about that!)  But just a little nod to this - especially to Mr. T - who’ll be doing much of the layout.
