The Nitty Gritty: New Blog Format?

Hi Guys -
OK, I’m of two minds. On the one, if a less linear format inspires us to include different types of content or not feel as bound to these chronological postings, then I’m all for that.
On the other, whether it’s ideal or not, we do have a really clear and consistent format and approach going here with these email/correspondence type entries.
What I think matters most is getting on a roll with our postings and developing a clear voice for the blog, even if that voice is a peripatetic.
I can’t speak for Tommy, but I know he’s helping out Gallery Diet this week with Basel, and then launching into the re-build of the website. So, Amanda and/or Melissa, if you guys are inclined to try out some formatting without Tommy, then I’d say, please give it a try and we’ll follow along with whatever direction you choose, and keep evolving it from there.
Again, I think the big thing is for us not to wait for the format to be just right, (not that anyone was saying this) but to really focus on hitting our stride with the content. So please, anyone who has a formatting approach they’d like to try, do go for it.
Thought: Amanda and I had ice cream the day after Thanksgiving (well, she did) and discussed creating a blog dedicated to arts, culture, thought, etc. Should this be a blog separate from our “NJC inner workings” email format blog, so that one’s more email-based and one’s more all over the place? This would seem to make sense. My only concern is that right now we’re just getting up to speed with one blog so maybe two is too much?
OK, this was not the most entertaining blog entry but I wanted to try out this whole, writing to you through the blog thing… :)
Thanks guys -
T
